I appreciate the list, but I've heard of all except uhaual having work at home jobs...didn't know that one. Most of these & more ae either not in my state of California OR not hiring at the time. Then, months pass & I kind of forget about them, then when I check again, they're still not hiring.
I just went to the careers section of proflowers & it says nothing about work from home ones, but I know they've said it in the past.

Also try 1-800-flowers.
I've found you have to scroll way down to the bottom of the page, its in tiny print, employment.
You're right, many of these jobs are state-specific.
1-800 Flowers isn't hiring in my state either! So many WAH job websites are NOT in my state. I wonder why.
I have no idea but if I had to venture a guess, it's because California has some employment laws that are very different from much of the rest of the country.
Hi everyone, I came across this site and hope that someone could guide me to legitimate work at home jobs.
My story: Mom is disabled and my father, brother and I have been caring for her at home (lives with my father, but brother and I live close by). My father has become ill and we are not sure how long he will be able to take care of my mother and himself.
I do not want to put them in a nursing home and have been thinking that I could get a work at home job and move in with them. I am divorced and have no kids, so moving in with them would not put anyone else out, but that also means I would still need an income since I support myself.
Currently I am working on my MBA, and as it stands now I should finish by the end of next year - beginning of the following year, depending on how much time I will need to take off to help my parents.
So if anyone has any ideas, please send them my way.
Thanks.
I think that may not be the best thing (a "work at home" job), as even if the job is at home, you still have to work and you may not be able to both do a f/t job and be a f/t caregiver to 2 elderly sick people.
I have asked one of the CD contest winners to come on here and give you some advice for helping with the planning of finances for your parents. Hopefully he will. He is very good with retirement money issues.
