so i was contacted by a hospital about 3 weeks ago. i missed the call cause i was at work. i called back the next day and didnt hear from HR until the next week. the computer had been locked up so i was told to call back the next day. i called back and was told that they were busy but she would pull up my job app and give me a call to schedule an interview. that was a week and half ago and now 2 applications have the complete status so i guess im being considered for 2 jobs. its for janitorial work and i would really like to work there so how should i call back and see whats going on?

Your hands are pretty much tied. There is nothing more you can do! Unless you know the boss personally.

Keep calling back every week or two until you get the job. Also suggest you visit them every week or so with some nice snacks in hand.

For the love of god do not do this! Stalker behavior of this nature is guaranteed to get your application discarded.

If you know the name of the HR person, call and ask for that person. If you have been tracking your applications, let them know that you are available on whatever days and times for an interview and make those dates and times within the next week. I would show some assertiveness. Good luck.

Sounds like you should have a cell phone on you at work on vibrate so you can be available for calls about a job. Hopefully it wasn't a situation where they were only scheduling people for interviews who they were able to get in touch with.
