Today's world seems to have a lot of young adults who think the world revolves around them. We see it everywhere...maybe it's just a product of our current world and maybe it's not really their fault (I choked a little but it MIGHT be true). With that in mind, you might actually have to spread the word about a thing called "common sense". I know, I know...crazy.

Bingo. Some already know this stuff, but some via their attitude of all ages, do not.

This same thing has been sung with every generation, in terms of the older generation thinking the younger generation thinks the world revolves around them. Same thing with the idea that businesses only exist to make a profit, not create jobs.
If anything, if you want to get down into it, the OP's article is nothing more than a stroking of one's ego, as it doesn't tell us anything we don't know.

Yea, I know I'm getting older when...I compare my young self to those youngins' now. I realize that self indulgence is a youthful characteristic...we have a lot of lessons to learn and our "plight" is just so darn important. I have to laugh sometimes because I KNOW I sound like my parents did back in the day.
And I agree that the article tells us nothing new...but I don't think it would've been written if the author thought everyone knew it...to those young graduates, for example. Sure, you hope people realize that they have to bring something to the "job" table, but there is a lot of "me, me, me" crap going on and they don't all realize that. I'm not going to classify all young people...that's not fair OR accurate...but still, there are quite a few who don't realize...that's all I was saying.
Common sense doesn't seem to be as common as it used to...or so it seems to me.
I know it is easy to get focused on what you need from a job, but it is vital to remember your potential boss is focused on the needs of his company.
Don't expect today's youth to see anything from the employer's perspective. They only care about what's in it for them. Most employers can see right through this.
