At my current job after I moved from the morning shift to the PM Shift I was off Saturday and Sunday. I got spoiled having my weekends off. With the current furlough my days off are Tuesday/Thursday and Friday. Sucks.
Wait, is this including Sat and Sunday, or excluding those as well (so basically a 3 day workweek)?
If the former, I'd actually want Sunday/Monday off, and choose to work on Saturday. Saturdays feel like "throwaway" days anyways, just recovering from the workweek and Friday night fun. Might as well work. Sunday I'd want off because that is the day most family stuff happens for me. I'd also like a weekday off because it's great to run errands and stuff on weekdays when it's less crowded basically anywhere.
Now, if I'm getting 2 additional days off on top of Sat/Sun, it would obviously be Monday/Friday. Can't beat a 4 day weekend.
Sat and Sun, but if it had to be weekdays, it would be Mon/Tue. Early in my career, I worked a 3/12 week in a data center (from 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Thursday - Saturday) and had 4 days off.
With my current schedule I alternate between weekend/weekday off. Week 1 off Thursday/Sunday. Week 2 off Saturday/Sunday and so forth.
I actually really like it, I'm able to get things taken care during my weekdsy off, like DRs appt, and errands, ect. But, I still have every other weekend off. For now it feels like a nice balance .
Two days during the week because it is SO much easier to get things done during the week (shopping, business, etc...) than on a weekend when everyone seems to be doing those things.
