I understand what your saying. Tho 100% of the jobs in that time span were NOT from an agency.Coming from Michigan where the downturn was well before the rest of the nation can be another reason that is a cause for a person to have such a spotty resume.

It really wasn't.
It's much better now. Still trying but due to the downturn lasting over a decade like that it has s real affect for many of us.
However with myself im striving for more(not accepting low level jobs. Looking into training courses/skill improvement. Etc).
Sometimes when your in a depressing situation for so long there's a mentality that you've acquired that even when things aren't so bad around you you--ok sorry im going off the deep end now. Let's get back to the topic. Lol.

I've done that before. I went to debt collecting to accounting/tax assistant; although, the latter was a temp position.

That's what I went through in Ohio.

I'll vouch for you. I had to get out in 2008 after college because it was so bad. Applied for hundreds of jobs and not a single word back from them. As soon as I moved out to state to a relatively healthy economy, I was getting a lot more hits in my job search. I think it's gotten a lot better since then, but it was devastating for a lot of people during that time. There was a massive brain drain in Michigan from about 2007 to 2010 for that very reason.
