I'm sure it is so frustrating, but HR would need to keep the posting active until the position is filled. If they are still reviewing data from interviews, HR should repost the job. A lot can go wrong with filling a position at this point, from an organizational perspective, so it would be foolish to stop soliciting candidates.

Good luck to you. Job hunting is brutal!

I'm not sure what to make of it.

What that means is the job was never open so try not to beat yourself up over it. Companies have to post jobs publicly to make it look like they are giving outsiders a chance.

Seriously. Him and his "fake jobs". Now he's claiming "fake job" when the poster he's responding to already had three interviews for the position. Good grief.

It is Just. So. Ridiculous.

Why would any company even bother to waste the time, much less the expense, to post a "fake" job???

The government, maybe I could understand.

"Research the job market" = "post on this forum".

So now companies interview people 3 times for fake jobs. Bow before the wisdom of wpd!

Do tell, since you're such the expert, just how exactly does this "research" lead to the conclusion that companies post and interview for "fake" jobs?

Well if it's not a fake job then whoever did the recruiting should be fired if they had to repost the job.
