I know people of all races that do home health care, the big question is if you have experience working in a nursing home, as that is where most people who do home health care have to start, after a year or so at a nursing home they move into home health care.
I was thinking since most patients of Home Health are whites, they might prefer White workers with white names.
What do you think?
I personally never heard from applying to home health and I was suspecting that it might be because I am an Asian with Asian name.
How in the world did you come up with any of this? Most home health patients are white? Huh? Going to need some credible statistics before I believe that. And, why in the world would they prefer white workers with white names? Maybe a small minority have issues with racism, but not enough to keep you from getting a job if you are qualified.
I am guessing you lacked the experience required, or were less qualified than other candidates. Nothing more. And nothing less.

Because most people like being cared to by a person that looks, talks, and speaks like them.
I assume black patients would prefer blue home health aides, but since blacks only comprise 10% of the population, there's not a big market there.

Quit degrading yourself from the crowd just because you're asian. You need to stand up and show them you're just as good as others. Stop being an asian stereotype and become who you really want to be.
Asians are grossly over-represented in the nursing and healthcare worker field. There's loads of Asians doing that job. It's also a job that people don't usually want to do so they're always hiring. Just keep applying.

Yes, I wonder were this person lives. Health care in general tends to be one of the most ethnically diverse fields I've seen, at least excluding doctors(they tend to be White, Asian, or middle Eastern in my area). I would highly doubt that they would run in to any sort of trouble.
