There is a company I have applied for twice in Denver and didn't get the job. The second time the C level person was very rude and condescending to me, and things ended tense. I basically had enough of his brow beating and checked his behavior.

Fast forward 1 year I see the same company is in So Cal and I want to apply. It's my preferred industry. I would be applying for a different type of job, different manager.

I know how CD feels about bending the truth. I can either apply with new e-mail, new address in diff state, and hope for the best or I can just tell them and hope it goes ok. I know I have learned never burn a bridge but this guy was really laying into me and I had enough. I would not report to him at all.

So what would you do? I figure if I apply with new e-mail and new out of state address and they same something I would just casually say yes that's me, but then there is that pesky question have you ever applied here before

I thought companies only wanted to know if you'd worked for them before, not applied. I've had companies I've applied with several times, one I was hired the 3rd time around, guess I wore them down and ended up there for 3 years. Just apply, if they ask then say yes. But I don't think applying before is an issue.

I would apply again and not mention it unless they bring it up. The different managers may not be talking to each other. It doesn't hurt to try.

Thanks they didn't ask. About 1/3 do. It's a different role different territory so I went ahead and applied. As we know in sales it's a numbers game.

Last night an "IT sales company" moredirect dot com did and since they had openings in Denver and So Cal I applied at both and explained.
