I'm looking at job posting, and it says "basic qualifications: Basic knowledge of X,Y, & Z" then "preferred qualifications: general knowledge of X,Y, & Z". I've viewed basic and general as the same thing, but in this posting it is being used as a level. Anyone know what the difference is, or have any examples?
I always thought General Knowledge was in the army...
Anyway, it seems both are the same thing. While searching for basic knoweldge, one of the top google answers was the wikipedia entry for general knowledge.
