I know someone that had such a hard time finding a job out of college, he told me that he literally started crying and thanked the Lord when he saw a email that was subjected "Congratulations! Job Offer!"
It turned out to be a commission only, multilevel marketing, life insurance sales scheme. Saying he was disappointed would be a vast understatement.
Congrats! This just shows that persistence pays off. This is a tough climate to say the least. My older brother was laid off 10 months ago and at age 55 I knew that finding another job would be an uphill battle for him. He kept at it, never gave up and starts his new job this Friday after a nationwide search. I'm really proud of him.
Most employers ask for employment dates and when you graduated from school on their applications. That's how they can figure your age.
