I didn't think Rutgers was that big. My 4 year school has just about the same enrollment. Doesn't matter how big your school is though. :/
Go to a temp agency and get more professional office related experience then.
It's ok that Seton Hall U doesn't have a lot of job opportunities. But that doesn't mean the supervisor of your internship doesn't know anyone... it wouldn't hurt to email and ask if they know of anyone hiring... hell, they may know someone in Arizona and hook you up!
Rutgers has several campuses with more than 65,000 students (grad and undergrad).
This is strictly a website for all professional sports jobs all around the country and I think even the world too. It helped me land an internship with the Philadelphia Flyers back in 2007 and it was a really neat experience (and I'm a huge NY Rangers fan!).
My major was "Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Managment" but I geared myself towards the commercial side which is sports. Although I was interviewed for a full-time job with the Flyers after my internship I did not get it. A year later in 2008 I was offered a job with the Tampa Bay Rays (again by applying through teamworkonline) but I ended up passing it up afterall because it was a tough job to take on. I lived in Pennsylvania so although the move would have been awesome it would have been expensive and it was an Inside Sales Position. So my salary relied heavily on if I could sell seaond tickets and ticket packages so not having that gauranteed income to help me live day-to-day was too much of a risk.
These are the things you probably will deal with on the Sports end..... You'll have to fight through the entry level low paying wages and hope you keep climbing the ladder. Well actually... you need to do the HARDEST thing and that's actually get in. Many sports teams will take interns over anyone from the outside.
Browse that website religiously... keep an eye and ear out for job fairs like others have mentioned and just hope for the best. Although I'm not currently in the sports field I do work for a Casino... this could be another option to look into as well.. think outside the box sometimes and you'll be surprised. You may be thinking that I work non-stop and crappy hours but I work in a cushy office work Monday-Friday from 7:30AM - 4PM... this is the advantage of having that college degree as well!

BINGO... Great point that I missed out on as well... take advantage of your contacts that you made during your internship, they're the "key" that can hopefully get your foot in the door somewhere. Even if they don't end up being able to help.. always keep in touch.. you never know when you need a hookup to see a game or two!
I cant tell you how many jobs on teamwork Ive applied for lol..Ive even done workinsports and jobsinsports ..which are paid sports sites..Ive never gotten a single phone call in the 6 months Ive been applying on any of those sites. Ive also tried doing internships , although it would be hard to work for no money right now and still nothing.

Well like I said in my post... it's extremely hard for an outsider to get a job with one of these teams... many of the jobs (especially entry level) go to current interns or anyone with prior/current experience in the field or with that specific team. Forget internships anymore... they will go to strictly undergrads who earn credits towards their degree... I have never heard of any team giving internships out to anyone.
Keep plugging away but as I mentioned... don't be afraid to look outside the box.
