I work in a typical corporate environment and some are really "cocky" but some are really nice. I am serving about 1.5 weeks notice.

So, how exactly did you guys feel after resigning?
Every job I've resigned has given me relief. If I liked the job enough to stay there, I wouldn't have resigned.

Resigned a few times...it's always different but it's funny how some co-workers react. Some people who you never ever talked to are suddenly very interested in you (want you to hire them) some that you have been close to feel betrayed and angry that you are leaving and some are truly happy for you.

My wife and I always joke about the group therapy sessions that we have to hold when we give two weeks notice, keep your lunch schedule free!

There is nothing more liberating than hitting the select all, then delete on your work email account.

I have never regretted leaving a job. Every time that I left, it was due, if not overdue. It always felt like a great relief.

I did neither--I took a six-month break from a 25+ year career (spent at various companies) and did some travelling. When the $$ started to run low, I pursued (and got) a new gig where I am able to work remotely from another country. I spend six months here, and the other six months in the U.S. I have never been happier with my work situation. I feel quite lucky to have this arrangement.
