in their words, officials are independent contractors and the National Association that oversees the sports as far as rules and guidelines, says that I have to take it up with the discriminatory parties, since, the party is an association that manages independent contractors, aka, officials.
However, for things like game action, promotion and copyrights, they monitor and arbitrate.
It sounded like the person who told me this could be lying by saying that USA *******'s involvement in anything that is done by something that happens in any league that uses it's banner, is on a case by case basis.
Seems to me this is like a Restaurant association saying "we cannot take sanctions against this restaurant since they are officially a members only, private club and if they don't want to serve blacks or gays, we cannot do anything about it, you have to take it up with the restaurant itself"
Thoughts? I'm just trying to get a guideline, won't take anything on here as legal gospel.

Can you explain your claim of discrimination or tell us what actually happened? Maybe you are going to the wrong party. It's possible that they are correct since the people in question are not their employees.

I think it was racial. Overblown incidents that lead to very harsh evaluations and discipline. Not being given work. Making up reasons for not being given work that were false and being held to a higher standard than other officials who were white.
