I agree with the comments about keeping names confidential. I am not an engineer, but the market is pretty bad for me as well. Been out of work for the last 8 months. There are openings, but it's very competitive and employers only want people who are currently working.
How can this be? Every big wig politician and the heads of the mega corporations have been telling us for months that despite their best efforts they just can't find any qualified candidates. I mean they really, really tried, but aw shucks, they just aren't there. That is why we have to open the flood gates and let the massive hordes of H1Bs in to do those jobs that Americans don't want. You don't think they're lying do you? Say it ain't so Joe.

They're leaving out some fine print details.... They can't find exceptional engineers who can walk on water, but are willing to bend over at the whim like a servant. I agree, it is hard to find spineless engineers who are also extraordinary gifted. Naturally, companies move on to greener pastures... The endless stream of immigrants willing to sell themselves out for a chance to live the "American dream"... What's left of it anyways.
