Where are the jobs in AZ ?
I moved here from WI, because of the economy and that I heard the businesses can't find people with "good work ethics". Well I've been here for over a year and still no job, despite the fact that I owned 2 businesses for the past 20 yrs, have been employed for a company that maintains nuclear power plants across the country. To get into the nuclear power industry requires FBI background clearance, clear psycho tests, drug test ect, no moving violation for 31yrs. In addition, each power plant site requires that you understand & pass 8 different tests by 80% about nuclear power requlations, operations and safty before you can set foot on their property - which must be learnt in 5 days and passed.
I owned a remodeling business, which where I used to live. The City web has 2 of the projects I remoldeled on their web site promoting how historically accurate homes are done -http://www.villageprofile.com/wisconsin/elkhorn/elkhorn1.html#homes
(if you want to see the before & after pics, just ask !)
I once had a these licenses, life ins, security series 6 & 63 , loan originators and was promoted to VP of sales and agent recruitment by age 28.
I have put out 1000's of apps and the guy at DES has seen my resume and has no clue why nobody gets back, even for simple warehouse jobs or even Wal-Mart.
Is it a matter of over qualified?

I guess my experience has been, when someone needs an employee, they get right on it.
Maybe most places don't need anyone... or it's the stupid clerk syndrome, where they throw your resume away, and the qualified person is never presented to the boss.

AZ has the best job market in the country! The only reason Im not there is because I have no drivers license. You obviously are not trying hard enough! Pick up that AZ Republic and find a job!

loose cannon,
What a great idea! I would have never thought of that. I'll start a drivers ed school and have driver ed booklets called "Drivers ED for Dummies".
