If company hires without in-person face to face interview, is it OK company?
The location of company and candidate is long distance, like other states....
but they do a video interview.
That sounds like a reasonable alternative to keep costs down. I was speaking with a poster on another forum who was hired by the federal gov't without an in-person interview.
I have been hired with no in-person interview by a large publicly traded company. Large and small companies are scouring the country for talent. You can apply anywhere in the country. The employers will hire you from any state. It's that kind of job market.

Numerous companies hire without an in-person interview, and so does the federal gov. The company I am with now I got hired without an in-person interview, the fed position I had before, I did not have an in-person interview.
It might happen, but I wouldn't accept unless desperate. I want to interact with my boss, team members, and see the working space.
My last 2 jobs were done without in-person or video interviews. My current job, I didn't even have an interview with the person who turned out to be my manager. I work from home, so I already know my working space, and since I was hired to do a specific job, I didn't really care who the co-workers are - they are scattered over the country. We do just fine together as we are all professionals.
Thanks,
Now I see,
It sounds like it's a new trend...
It's not all that new.
It only looks like a new trend, because the economy went to hell in 2008. Most companies weren't interested in adding to their headcount, whether it was local or out of state. They were reducing headcount everywhere.
They have been hiring again, so it looks new.
