I understand horrible location is subjective, but what if you had an awesome job lined up that was in a horrible location, would you take it or leave it?
I would need an awesome salary, and an exit plan after a few years of socking away a large nest egg. I've spent many years already moving from one crappy location to another. We finally live in an awesome location and I'm going to try like hell to stay.
totally depends are you goign to have to move across the country or out of the country or just have a long commute of an hour or bad part of time. youd need to elaborate on what the horrible location is.
Whatever makes the job awesome to you, if that implies a large salary so be it, but picture a job that you believe is awesome in every way.

It is subjective, if moving a long distance or having a long commute is horrible to you then it qualifies as a horrible location.
No amount of money can be worth the misery. Nothing's worse than living with regrets, you can't buy back wasted/squandered time....which could have been used for something more worthwhile.
We are in Seattle area…I wake up, look out my window at a gorgeous view of the Cascades and Mount Rainier. Compared with years previously staring at corn fields.
