Pulling weeds in the heat of summer at my step grandmothers plant nursery in central FL. I was 13 and got $3 an hour, and let's just say I am not a fan of yard work to this day!
Workin for my uncle in his bulk oil business....watching the office....the warehouse....and unloading 10,000 gal tank cars of gasoline.....12 yrs old and got WOW 25 cents an hour....by the time I was 15 I was gettin 50 cents an hour......[1953-1957]
Doing general office work at my junior college (did typing, filing, answering the phones, helping incoming students) at the place I found the job--the Job Placement office! This was back in 1979 and I was earning $2.96 an hour, which, to me, was a LOT of money!
Baskin Robbins!! Yum! I got to take home a pint of ice cream every night. My mother loved it and I would take her the wierdest stuff - she never knew what she was getting - it was like Christmas.
KFC/TacoBell, loved the 2 in 1!
And I loved it when I was 16!
Cashier & buffet & I don't see many KFC's with buffets anymore. Why is this?!
