rather it be the perks, extensive travel, or your just generally happy with your job. what do you do? and what are some of the best things about your career?
I'm extremely happy with my job, love what I do, and have the great fortune of working with a fantastic group of people (I don't like all of them personally, but they excel at their jobs). It goes a long, long way towards reducing work related stress.
I have a few friends and relatives who are envious of that.

Not that I know of. No one has ever admitted to being jealous though one former brother-in-law once introduced me as "the rich brother in law" though I only was making about $60k at the time. I have some relatives that that maywish they had my salary, benefits and nice water view private office. I don't really discuss what goes on at work, except with my parents some, when they ask. It would make me feel like I was bragging and make them feel worse about their situations. They would never be able to get to that point with their lack of education, experience and work ethic, tending to bounce from one low wage job to another. One in particular is constantly whining about lack of money and miserable jobs on Facebook for all the world to see.

I used to. In the 70s I was in the music business and living in Los Angeles. I got to see just about any artist performing in the LA area for free. That included backstage passes and after parties and trips up and down the coast on private planes.
I am retired now and would not have the energy for any of my previous nonsense.
I don't know about jealous but envious. I'm at a well known and respected institution that people very much want to work for. Once you're here and get some years under your belt, your golden. And I hold a position that man are interested in my thoughts.
I am a retired special education teacher. People would love to have been bitten, hit, kicked, swore at, spit at, punched and urinated on by students and yelled at by their parents sometimes all on the same day. And of course, jealous of my salary. Yes, many, many people were envious of my career.
Obviously, I am delusional!
