After a difficult job search I landed a job. Starts out 1 month temporary. If all goes well I was told there is lots of follow on work. So now I have to tell recruiters who call and email that I am not on the market anymore. Here is my current line:

> I accepted a temporary 1 month assignment which might extend to 6-8 weeks. I will update you on my availability when I know the end date of this task.

I want to avoid painting myself into a corner. If I say I found a new job and I am not on the market I fear what might happen if I have to return to the job market. I will have to face the same recruiters and explain why I washed out after a month.

Any thoughts from experience on how best to approach this?
