I probably shouldn't be negative about this, but I have an interview tomorrow at an Exterminator Company that a recruiter dropped on me today. Pay wise, its about $5 an hour less then what I feel comfortable with. In addition, I feel pressured that if the interviewer likes me, I woukd start Monday to train for a week with the person I would replace. Again, this is a temp position, that may go to perm, considering there will be an open position. Other than pay, are there other areas that I should consider before making my decision? I know Im going to leave the interview and the recruiter will want my decision on the spot. I also have 2 other permanent positions that Ive interviewed with that have great pay, growth potential, but I wont hear back until next wk.

Hmmm, that's hard. I've always heard that if you turn down a temp position they might not call you back. Though, you have other interviews... but that's hard to say too.

If you're not currently employed, I would take the temp job and then leave for a good perm job if offered. You don't want to burn bridges, but you have to do what's best for you.

Your best option would be to take the temp job then skip as soon as you get an offer for perm.

Right, but if I get a call for an interview elsewhere for a perm spot, what can I do?

If you really want perm, then turn it down and start attending those career development workshops. Your resume needs tons of work. You just aren't going to have many options without adequate job hunting skills.

Lol how would you know when I have only posted a section of my resume on this forum? If you went back to the thread and re-read it, you would see that I had simply copied and pasted it incorrectly.

The part you posted was terrible. If the other part it was good, it wouldn't be enough bring up the lagging part.

Instead of making excuses, do the free career development workshops and get a full time perm job with your min salary requirements. Nobody can do the work for you. Avoiding the career development work doesn't benefit you in any way.
