Refusing to work in a slaughterhouse does not mean I value an animal's life over a human's. You are reaching way too hard. Do not put words in my mouth or project your issues on me.
If you think slaughterhouse deaths are 'quick and painless' then you have not seen what goes on in a slaughterhouse. Animals are skinned and boiled alive when the first attempt to kill them is not successful. Although there is misdirected hatred for them, slaughterhouse workers have to stifle their humanity to make a paycheck, and that's not fair to them - I feel terribly sad for them.
But please, continue to enjoy your double bacon cheeseburger from that high horse.
Where did you get the idea that I don't know what goes on in a slaughterhouse?
I don't have to put words in your mouth. You've done it for me by posting this video. I didn't even view it. It wouldn't be posted on youtube unless it was designed to elicit an emotional response and was out of the ordinary.
You're comforted by the fact that your money buys you options that others don't have.
I'm a tad more realistic.
I'll eat a double-double on top of a skyscraper if I have to.
The job is only 1/2 of it, the other half involves the people you work with. I wouldn't want to work with a bunch of tools in any circumstances, even if it involves making 1mil/yr.
