So I was searching for an additional job to supplement my part-time job. I plan on quitting my other part-time job when I get another job. While on my job search, I find my job being posted. Same schedule as the one I am currently working.
Alright so here is the background to it:
About four weeks ago, my boss and I have a conversation about a mistake(s) that I had done. More or less, she pretty much said that I was narrow-minded in my thinking, that she struggled to understand my thought process, and that I needed to think more about what this rehab program needs to be run efficiently and about what is best for clients. So I ask her what other mistakes I had done. She tells me mistakes that can be immediately corrected. Very minor stuff. So I'm a bit confused because it seems like she is practically basing that statement from one mistake that I had done.
Three weeks ago, I ask my boss what time my performance evaluation should be scheduled (My 3 month probation is almost up). She says she completely forgot about it and proceeds to discuss with me what specifically is evaluated, what scores new staff usually get, etc. Then, she ends that conversation by saying, "You are not going to be let go. You'll have this job as long as you want the job." Well first, I thought, other staff must have been telling her about my worries of possibly being fired. So I'm thinking okay, that's a little comforting. I didn't tell her formally my worries about getting fired. She didn't have to tell me that.
So a week after that, I'm on the Internet job searching and I find the same exact job schedule. Same job listing that I saw when I was interviewed for the job. I call my boss regarding the job listing. She says she had no idea about it and that she'll talk to Corporate about it. A week after that, the same job listing is posted.
So what is the deal here? Should I go by her word that I won't be let go? Was she just saying that so I wouldn't fret about it until they found a replacement? Did she change her mind? ...What should I do? Sorry for the long post. I am extremely worried and having anxiety about losing my job. I finally get a job that is in my field and would hate to lose it.
Have you been on any interviews, applied for any jobs and used your current employer on your resume? Is it possible that they have gotten some calls that make them think they might be loosing you soon and they are just trying to cover their butts?
Did I read it correctly that you are job hunting because you plan to quit your current position?
That was confusing, but I think the op has two part time jobs. This one she's worried about is the one she wants to keep, and then she's looking for a new p-t job to replace another one. She'll quit that other one when she finds a replacement for it.

No that's not the case. The most I've done is occasionally look for jobs online while I'm at work. Maybe corporate monitored my internet browsing and saw that? Not sure.

Yeah, if I do find another part-time job, I'll quit the other part-time job that I have. Not the job where I am possibly getting fired from. Sorry that was not clear.

A co-worker is leaving soon. One person just started their training last week for that position, though.

Never, ever, ever look for a job while you're at work. Some companies don't monitor regularly, but do monitor new people. It's possible someone is aware you were looking, and assumed you took this job temporarily until you find a job you really want. And your boss could be denying it with you because she wants to keep you on until she finds a replacement.
If I were you, I would find some way to work this into a conversation with her. Maybe mention that you have another part time job but are looking for a new job to replace that one and wonder if there is ever any need to work later than usual because "I don't want to take a job that would prevent me from doing what's needed here". Or something that would let her know your search was to replace another p-t job and not this one, just in case that is what's going on.
