accounting, I am permitted to listen to music at a reasonable volume
at night, I work retail and the muzak playing the same lame crap all the time makes me wanna kill myself....
I agree, certain types of music can be very disturbing and distracting. That's why in many settings it's best to not expect a group of employees to have to listen to the same genre because what's irritating to one may be pleasant to another.
Well, I work in a whorehouse and what with all the screaming and moaning and cussing it would be hard to hear any type of music.. BUT they don't say we can't listen......
j/k... I am retired and can listen to all the music I want....
I once experienced a work area where five different radio stations were blasting at the same time. I don't know how those people could stand working in that area; I got a headache just being there for five minutes.
So far, I don't think anyone has answered the op's question - which was 'How many are NOT allowed to listen to music at work?'
You must have forgotten where we are. C-D land, where questions become free-for-alls for any and all thoughts on the subject at large.
