Wonderful to hear. Posts like this make up for all of the negativity.
I wouldn't call it negativity. People post their experiences here whether good or bad. Unfortunately bad experiences dwarf the good ones both here on CD and in real life. Being positive or negative has nothing to do with it.

Just wanted to pass along my thanks to all the contributors on the forum. I have learned a great deal of interview and job related things over the last few months here. As of today I am finally employed and going to start my career ! It is not exactly what I hoped for, position wise, however it is with a great company and in my area of study (Mech Eng). The job is for an engineer tech position, however I am going to work hard to move up to an actual engineer title. I have a foot in the door and am going to be pushing to take it to the next level.
Over the last 2-3 months I went from no call backs to having 30-40% call back rate with most of them leading to an in person interview. I used to get real nervous, ramble and I would never have any questions for them. Hearing from people on here who are used to the process and what I should expect really helped me remained myself during the interviews. I start on the 1st of December and I am looking forward to it since unemployment (not collecting, just taking odd jobs atm) got old quick. I plan on sticking around here and continuing to learn and help others, thanks again C-D
And this folks, is how you get ahead in life. Congrats to you! Well deserved I'm sure! Look forward to seeing your progression!
