You really need to bolster your arguments past sticks and stones.

We should allow bank/postal offices employees to have the weekend off. I know some banks that are closed on weekends in bigger cities, but not universal. In some countries, all of them are closed on weekends. Banks should not be treated as retailers. Worst of all - TD Bank with its locations in parts of the Northeast where most of its locations are open 7 days. Ridiculous! Christmas Eve, Good Friday & New Year's Eve should be closed all day as well.
I didn't vote either way on this because I can see it from both sides. Efforts to eliminate Saturday mail delivery have failed time and time again. But the automation argument can also be made for shopping malls. One must wonder why, anymore, they need to keep the kind of hours that they do, including so many being open on Thanksgiving evening. How did we ever get by when just about everything was closed on Sundays? The fact that so many folks in retain were robbed of quality time with their families and friends by being open Thanksgiving is adding to the level of intensity about this issue. And in case some didn't know it, stores in malls can actually get find if they don't conform to the mall's standard hours.

Perhaps if you were Christian, you would feel differently. You are in no position to judge you is a good Christian or not.

I've worked on Sundays many times. There's nothing wrong with it.

It is absolutely brutal to move funds between checking accounts at two different banks. It's so much of an annoyance I always moved funds from my checking account at a bank to another one at a credit union and it was far easier just to go to one ATM then run into the other bank and deal with the teller on Saturday morning.

I can transfer funds from my husband's account with Bank of America to my account with Wells Fargo online. It took two minutes to set up and would be a click of the button to transfer.

The 3rd Commandment (some Christians may number it as the 4th) says "Remember to keep holy the Sabbath Day". I don't know if you are Catholic, but the canon law says that you must avoid unnecessary work on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation. It does not define "unnecessary".

Don't they charge a fee to do that? (I could be wrong)

The main reason that I use bank tellers is to make deposits. I use the ATM for withdrawals, but I don't trust them for deposits.

I think no one would ever get to them again. Clearly, Thursday night would be SWAMPED with long lines. Most people I know are working from 8 am to 5 or 6, or later, so the hours during the day are useless for people like me. It's absurd to think that someone would have to burn vacation time to get to the damn bank or post office. Weekends hours are a necessity. Get over it.

Um, in YOUR mind, perhaps. If there is a package that HAS to get somewhere, or someone HAS to have a certified check for a legal issue, or whatever. There are a MULTITUDE of reasons that someone would find such services essential on the weekend.
