Should you call back after an interview (work, company, hiring)

Hi, I recently had an interview this past Monday and have not heard back yet. They stated would try to contact me sometime this week to set up another interview next week before the holiday’s. Wondering if I would be over eager to call tomorrow or try to hold out till late Friday morning. Appreciate the feedback I don't want to come off as aggressive and eager.

You can email back after the interview thanking them for their time, reselling your skills, etc. If nothing a week or two after that you can email them again asking for an update on the hiring process.
