Its complicated. Originally I was a contract worker, then was made full time, then laid off, and hired back 10 days later by a different division, then moved from a inside contract temp to a outside contractor to get around the time limitations, then....well.. all told 5 years now at this place, and 8 at the prior one. But I could also argue that its 1 year, and 17 months at the prior one, despite being at the same desk doing the same thing.
With the company 3 years, current position about 5 months with plans to serve for a minimum of one year. I try to re-evaluate my situation twice a year, though I sometimes miss those target dates.
Previous employment was 2 1/4 years. Would've been longer but the distance wasn't good for my relationship.
Longest I've stayed at a company was 4 years, which I've done with two different employers.
