I am a supervisor who has an employee who is the chairman of an agumented UAW group who keeps causing issues with me he refuses to work for me even though I am his supervisor my boss just lets him go because he is friends with his dad. Everytime I write him up for not doing his job my boss would throw it out . The employee can comeand go as he pleases and do whatever he wants and it makes it harder on his fellow union brothers and sisters because they have to cover his work. He is constantly telling the employees he is going to get me fired. We have just been taken over by another company and he has gone over several times to the new management and requested I not be hired and now I should be fired. He has gone so far as to file a grievance stating I am undermining him and defamation of character. What do I do ? Do I have any rights?

I would go to management and give your side of the story with documentation.
I have seen many instances of employees being harassed by management (or each other), but I can't say I've ever seen a boss being harassed by a subordinate.
