I was motivated to go into teaching, which would have made my History degree practical. However, later in my undergrad I semi-switched my goal more towards becoming an attorney. Which the History degree would have worked for. However, my law school search, the competitiveness of the field, and over saturation of the profession gave me second thoughts on investing the time and money.

I ended up getting into claims and appeals adjudication which I have had some role in for 13 years , which has worked out very well from a pay/benefits/work home balance for me. I was dumb a couple years back and took a supervisory role which I have hated, but now have been successful in reversing back into a technical role again.
