Bear with me here. But given the amounts of ridiculous abuses and practices that are evident from reading posts on these boards it leads to the impression that one day somethings "gotta give." I wonder if one day the govt will end up regulating job hiring. For instance Id imagine a jobs pool where everyone is entered by level of experience and occupation/specialty. Then an employer needs an "accounting manager" and the next person with accounting management experience in the queue was hired. No HR b.s., on room for discrimination, no filtering candidates based on who would be the best drinking buddy, just plain hired. Sure there are downfalls with every system we could devise but its not like the current system is exactly the best. For instance curiously in my last job about 80% of my office was young, very attractive, white females....funny how that happens....

Yes, it already is. Job hiring is already regulated and that's what you got now. Affirmative Action and a million other regulations are already created by the government.

I wish they would do away with Affirmative Action. It does more harm than good.

Are those "No"s out of dislike of the idea of out of the idea that the govt would never be allowed to have that much authority?

My no was for many things - dislike of the idea, gov't would never be allowed, and many other things.

We also thought theyd never be allowed to touch healthcare lol. Overall the Nation appears to be going more and more left leaning over time. So what seems ludicrous now may be the norm for our kids.

And due to the left's acceptance of gay marriage, one day soon people will be allowed to marry barnyard animals.

There's zero chance this will happen. And is vastly different from healthcare.

Healthcare is a product/service. Jobs are not.

If employers continue to keep people unemployed and play games then yes! Someone has to take the side of the person trying to provide for their own & their families.
