I will bump this thread when I hear back in 2-3 days.

If you had a problem understanding the interviewer, your competition for the position likely had the same problem. You may have done better than expected.

Interviews are a 2-way street. Do you want to work for a boss, that you can't understand? A communication gap may lead to a quick exit from the company. If there is an urgent issue, he may pull you into his office immediately to discuss the problem. If you can't understand him, it will be hard to follow his instruction. There may be mistakes made, due to the communication gap. He will look for somebody that can understand him to take your role.

You may be better off staying at the new company that hired you recently.

Sometimes, public libraries have study rooms. Reserve one in advance and check to see if the internet there is good. Bring your laptop and smartphone and use it's tethering or hotspot feature as a backup.

This poster (under one of his many user ids) got all the same advice almost a year ago, when he asked if it was okay to do a video interview from a McDonald's.

Video interview from inside a McDonald's?

You can sit in your car parked outside of a Starbucks. I've hate a many of pine interviews doing just that. Mc Donald's, Panera Bread and many other eateries offer FREE internet.

Most local libraries offer FREE wifi and they have FREE conference or study rooms

Or just use the Internet on your phone and talk with the speaker. Depending on your type of pho you should be able to do both.

Ultimately U should try and schedule these things at times that don't conflict with you work or where you can have a good solid excuse.

Schedule it for early in the morning and use the good ole flat tire I my way to work excuse

Schedule it for the evening and use your kids as an excuse
