I work for a tech company. The salary is ok. Unfortunately, my boss is one cheap bastard . He only cares about his precious bonus. That means no new smartphone (mine is 2 years old), no training/courses, no pay raise. The perks listed above are avaliable for most employees, so they cannot be taken away.

Vacation is just the typical 2 weeks until you reach 5 years and you get 3 weeks + normal holidays
This may sound like no big deal to many of you, but to me, in today's time, this one stands out to me...
Although I've never had to 'use' this benefit, its availability to me and my co-workers speaks large of my company's dedication to its employees....
If Person A - we'll call him 'Al' doesn't have any leave (vacation) time or sick time, others within our company can donate their leave time (in 1/2 hour increments) to Al. So Al gets sick and has no leave and will be out for long term. The long term disability doesn't go into effect for 2 weeks, so for 2 weeks, without this availability of people donating their time, Al will not get a paycheck for 2 weeks. Even on long term disability, that's at a reduced rate than that of his normal pay.
I've seen this benefit help out co-workers in my company, and to some, it has meant everything to them.
Being able to donate leave to me, speaks wonders of my company and I'm proud to work here...
That's a huge benefit. At my work, hourly employees can accrue 186 days of sick time before they're capped. Salaried workers can only accrue 12. Either way, that didn't help me when I was diagnosed with cancer at 23 4 months into my first job out of college because my coworkers were not allowed to donate their time to me. We have many long-time secretaries who have capped out their sick time and would love to donate to people in need. Not allowed. It's a huge bummer that that time is essentially wasted when people could certainly use it!
Long term disability only kicks in if you are expected to be out of work for at least 2 years.

I get it but this can become awkward. Say someone (Bob) has worked years and saved up 200+ hours because they are saving it for a rainy day.
Al comes along and takes time off all the time because he has it. Now he runs out and has an emergency. Every one knows Bob has the most hours and everyone else is looking at him to donate his hours since he has so much.
Now Bob looks like the bag guy if he doesn't give up some of his hours even though he has worked hard and has never taken a day off in 2 years while Al has been taking vacations and sick days ever since he started.
Now Bob is the bad guy in this scenario. I'm sorry. It's my time I worked for and I want to keep it as mine. I shouldn't be put in a position where I have to choose.
* 9 - 5 schedule (with unlimited breaks/lunch paid)
