The article was written 6 months ago before anyone had heard of it. Since then, the company has been all over the news. Even more recently when they were evaluated at $4.x billion in a funding round.

Is it as popular as a consumer based product like Uber? No. Have people heard of it? Absolutely. The company is in headlines everywhere.

I've heard of them over and over the last several months. Not as much as Uber, however.

The engineer was foolish to post his name and the names of the companies that offered him the job. I can understand how Zenefits CEO was offended, here they offered him a job and he was doubting their company potential and what not.

Nothing wrong with rescinding the offer.

Zenefits zucks!

(and so does your company name)

I know you are reading this Mr. CEO.

As a VC investor, Zenefits can do and say and hire whoever they want. They have much power...

I think the dude was stupid for posting the names of the companies in his question. I think he would have gotten the same responses without the consequence. The CEO's reaction was unprofessional, yet hilarious at the same time.

Offer should have been rescinded privately, by registered mail.

Offer should have been revoked in a qoura post asking who else wants to work there if the guy wanted to get his advice online, he can get the bad news as well after it goes viral.

It was unprofessional on both ends, so why is only one of them being called a jerk or worse?
