No, it's a trucking position where we get paid by the load.
Still, you're pretty much spot on about this and while they note my requests, they do everything possible to keep me here.
I've talked about it with corporate a few times and their only response is all transfers have to be approved through the terminal managers.
I'm just getting tired of the different start times and length of hours I've got to work each night to get all the work done.
Basically forgoing any particular health/wellness needs due to being too tired at the end of the "shift" to get them done.
Most of the time, people rarely transfer here and instead, just work for a different milk hauler in town thinking it will be different.
While staying in trucking doesn't seem to be all that bad for the time-being, it's all about trying to find the right gig within it and making sure it stays around.
It wasn't all that bad here all the time, but the number of drivers began to trickle away and people had to be moved from positions that were keeping them happy.
Apart from transfer requests, applications to different, local/regional hauling companies seem to go unanswered.
Not really looking at jumping back into that over-the-road/non-local or regional/non-dedicated garbage that's easy for anyone with a CDL to get into.
