Practically EVERY (and I mean EVERY) job has a requirement for good communication skills (often the phrase "excellent communicator" is used). But what do people do who DON'T have the best communication skills (i.e. the mute, those who are foreigners who don't speak the language that well, those with autism, those who stutter, etc)? Are they all out of luck in this market?
I never thought that's what was meant by "communication skills."

What I have been hearing lately is that effective communication, especially technical communication, is becoming a lost art due to technology ie text-speak, saying "like" and "umm" every sentence etc.
Pretty much this. Tell the people who need to know what they need to know in a timely manner. E-mail is usually fine.
