As the regional manager himself approached the OP and told him they liked his brother, I'm sure everyone is aware.
What's done is done. Not much use going over people's head over this now.
Make the best of the situation.
Just do your fair share of the work and never appear to be taking advantage of family ties.
Are you kidding? Again, I don't like him very much. We're brothers, but we have polar opposite personalities. If anything, people will only see us argue.
I don't see this ending well. You should be professional at all times. You can't even talk about your brother without saying you're going to argue. You are the one with a problem here.

Unfortunately, based on my experience if your manager is family or even friend from before started working together, then co-workers will always gossip and make rumors about you getting special privileges. But screw them, if you're doing your job perfectly and the workers that are actually good will know or already know that you're good. Only pity employees focus on negativity.
My brother was a manager at my company but in a different department. I was assistant manager, the employees knew both of us and liked both of us, but that's totally different than your case since we worked on different departments. Which actually surprised me that your company allowed your brother to be your manager.

I have to agree with this.
There seems to be an undercurrent of hostility here that is the OP's own choice.
I get it that the OP couldn't have predicted his brother would get that exact position.
But reading through his responses, I wonder why he even bothered to put his name in at all since he is so negative and hostile towards his brother in the first place. On a whim or not, motivated by money or not.
I don't know if he's looking for 'support' here, 'encouragement,' whatever. But it appears as if he doesn't want to be professional about it and make the best of the situation he can short of quitting. Not much we can do about it.

There's actually a reason why they put me under my brother. I'm not going to tell you why because I have no idea how to say it without sounding like I'm bragging.
The regional manager visited my office earlier today for unrelated reason. I lightly asked him whether he was sure about having me and my brother working side by side like this starting in a few weeks. He said as long as we don't have any problem he doesn't see any problem.
Meh, I'll just go along with it. Whatever happens happens.

Somebody sounds like they're turning over a new leaf!

Can you blame me? This forum is full of bad news. Anything positive is considered bragging.
