Why do some bosses and companies expect you to be a slave to your job and breathe it 24/7?

If you are getting paid you are not a slave ...
Slaves did not get paid ... you are a paid employee.


Every minute you work you agree to the wages,

Not where I work. As an hourly employee they want me out the door as soon as my shift is up. They keep the salaried people extra unpaid time to finish what we don't. If you just want a job where you can clock out after 8 hours, get an hourly job.
