I know I want to be a massage therapist. I know I want to move to another state. But...

I'm not sure if I should be getting my schooling done here and a license here and then move and apply for a license there, or if I should just save all my money to move and then go to school out of state to get my license there?

The reason why it's such a hard choice for me, is because almost all of the schools in my state are either kind of shady with not much information on the website, or they are programs in those private/ for-profit schools, on par with ITT Tech and University of Phoenix. The schools that actually look like they are quality institutions are pretty far away from me.

But then I'm feeling nervous about living on my own at the same time as going to school in another state. As in, being able to find a job there so I could afford to live on my own. I'm saving up now, so I imagine it could be almost years before I could move out and get my license and start my life, that way. But maybe the wait to save money here could be worth it?

When you take your license test you will be asked where you would like to be licensed so you can take your test where you are and relocate later.

That makes it much easier, thank you for letting me know. Now I just need to figure out where I should go just for the sake of quality of education.
