Hello! I have a question. I run a prevention and education nonprofit. Our programming is actually us going into to schools and other places to provide education. How do I reflect that in my budget. It looks like salaries are a huge percentage of the budget, however, the program is us (speaking, writing curriculum, etc.). Does that make sense? Is there some verbiage I can use to explain that?
Do you have a degree in non-profit management, or does anyone in your program have one, or a degree for work that would involve grant writing? For ex., Ed.D, MPA, MBA, MPH, etc.
If so, contact your or your colleague's alma mater and speak with an instructor at who is experienced at grant writing. Instructors are often willing to give alumni a few minutes of their time for guidance.
