Think your job sucks?

Denied bathroom breaks, these workers must resort to diapers - CBS News

This kind of thing is going on in America? Today? Disgusting. I hope they make an example of the managers involved. Jail time for sure.

Bet you a lot of them are illegal too. Illegals are easy to exploit so companies can go back to Dickensian conditions at rock-bottom wages like they always wanted to.

Illegals. As soon as I saw poultry workers, immediately knew it was in NC. I've heard of horrible practices in NC meat facilities before.

This is where our cheap food comes from. No wonder the government can afford to hand out food stamps like there is no tomorrow! And I'll bet most, if not all the illegal workers in these plants are collecting food stamps and other benefits as well.

Part of the sentence should be for all those who started the diaper mandate to be in diapers themselves in a jail for the entire term of their incarceration. And, forced fluids every 2 hours round the clock.

I have to extend a thanks to everyone (so far) for not oversimplifying the issue into the usual partisan rant; that something like this would degenerate this far indicates to me that there is probably some "dirty laundry" (literally!) on both sides. Lets hope that all the facts are brought out, and that cooler heads prevail.

From the linked article, it states that these illegals are often threatened with deportation should they step out of line. It's no secret why many corporations support illegal immigration.

On a related note, I highly recommend the documentary Food, Inc. I guarantee you will never buy anything from Tyson's or any one of the other large poultry mega-corporations after watching it.

I didn't read of any workers in the article actually resorting to wearing diapers.

So if supervisors are threatening with deportation then they should be charged for knowingly employing illegal workers. Start charging people and the Problem will reduce. Make it a law if they know about illegal employment and not report it they can be charged.

We all know when the stuff hits the fan it's the low man on the pole who gets hit. The big guys lawyer up or just pay a fine.

We need a corporate death penalty where all assets are seized, and all officers barred from having an equity stake in any incorporated entity forever, as well as all blood relatives. IMO that should occur the 3rd time an illegal is hired, or 1st time, 10 or more illegals are hired.
