...which basically is just another way of saying, "You're not a 'team player,'" which is what we warned you she would say, even though some folks in this thread laughed and said she wouldn't.
Or maybe because some managers are such *******s of making employees feel guility and not understanding some things come up at some point.
I have dentist appointments too at some point.
Not to mention attending the DMV
Time to renew my license pretty soon.
Absolutely!!! I'm sure that's not the only game in town, and I know that there are plenty of other managers who would be a lot easier to work for and more understanding than she is. Heck, at this point, with everything you say went down this morning, you might as well let them go before they let you go; you have nothing to lose at this point.

I started applying all ready. I'm just going to let her can me. Maybe I can collect. Even though it's very uncomfortable I'm still getting paid for now ..
An employer cannot treat people differently because they car pool, pick up husband at airport, long commute, etc.
You have to be treated the same as the person that lives a block away and walks to work. You chose to take a job far from your home.
It's not that far. I have always commuted at least 30 minutes. I'm about 20 miles away but traffic here is killer. How I get to work or who I carpool with is not their business as long as I'm on time - which I have been.

It's not about things coming up 'at some point'. It's about, every time the employee is asked to stay late or come in early, she says no. Of course, if someone told me during the interview that they can only work 8 - 430 they would not have been hired in the first place.

Yep.
The OP says that the only place that she complains is here, but I bet her attitude comes out at work, too - even if she is unaware.
I hope that the OP is not posting from work. That's not a very smart thing to do, considering.

I'm on my cell phone. I was asked to come in early during a week I couldn't. This was the first time I was asked. And nothing came up - I have a life outside work. I was asked and I couldn't give the answer she wanted. I have never complained at work to anyone. And I'm very pleasant.
I have done many things here that make me a team player. Just not the schedule part.
Except that at this particular job, having some flexibility in your schedule is clearly what makes someone part of the team.
Good luck with your job hunt.
