that is true. Most are either in software or finance with a few pas/pharmacists sprinkled in.

All of the people I went to high school with are making in the $50-70k range except one guy who is 25 years old and is a pharmacist. He makes $120k. Unless they work in tech... where $100k in Atlanta would be perfectly reasonable out of college and $150k+ in major markets.

Those are three higher income jobs. You wouldn't want to make less than $100k in those fields.

Well you had best get networking with them and try to leverage some of those connections because it is possible that sooner rather than later your social groups will part ways.

I'm 27 and earn approximately $70,000 after taxes (income, medical, etc.) as a military officer here on Oahu, which is about the same that someone making in the low six figures earns after paying federal/state taxes here. I went to law school after college, though, so really didn't couldn't start earning a "competitive" salary until I was in my mid-late 20's.
