I'm now in school for the electrical trade. That's why I know I'll never go back. I work at fedex loading and unloading trucks until we start job placement through school. I am ONE MILLION time happier. No more call center hell! 3 weeks into school and I love what I'm learning.
A call center isn't a great job, but it does pay the bills. But why not look at what you learned from it? Even crap jobs can teach you something if you're willing to really think on it. Maybe in the end it was an unsatisfying job that taught you some more skills that you can continue to improve upon in the next jobs.
You learn how to listen, conflict resolution, and how to ask the right questions to be able to troubleshoot and resolve a problem quickly and efficiently.
Guess what? Those are all things you will deal with in an electrical trade too and skills you would need to learn. They can be applied to any job.
