If you're not an extroverted C-level executive at the top of his/her field with a powerful professional network, a penchant for firing people "on the spot" for even the slightest transgression and a salary that will allow you to retire in comfort before you are fifty, why even bother with life? Not that I can tell the difference anyway. I'm posting from my space yacht, and from up here all of you just look like so many ants.
But does it have a surround sound system? You wouldn't catch me in a space yhat without surround sound.
Going thru the threads in the work forum it seems job 20 bucks or so per hr is poverty wages.
It is. How can you buy a house and adequately fund your retirement on that?
Instead of getting angry at people who point out that water is wet, why not find a way to dry yourself off? Work towards making a salary that'll pay for a house, retirement, and some nice things?
150K is rich, whether you want to admit it or not.
Many people who make a six-figure salary live paycheck to paycheck. They might have a lot of stuff, but they are not "rich". And some people with much more modest salaries live well within their means, and may appear to be "poor" because they don't have a lot of stuff, but are far richer than many making much more.
Going thru the threads in the work forum it seems job 20 bucks or so per hr is poverty wages. Reality is most people don't make 20 hr out there. Are most of you 100k a year and up? 20 bucks is a good wage to me. I am not ashamed to say this. I have a feeling a lot of people posting here are bull@#$% about their wages or stuck up looking down on the masses.
It all depends where you live. $20 an hour would be good in some places and $40 an hour not so good some places.
The 1% speak loud and so do those pretending to be the 1%.
There was a book I read a while back about millionaires in the US. Most are self-made, and got that way by working their rears off at things that aren't all that exciting. They live in fairly modest houses and drive plain "American" sedans. They don't consider themselves "rich", and they certainly don't bray about it.
So, you're right... the braggadocio comes from a few 1%ers, probably those who attained wealth through fortune, and the rest is hot air from the Internet

i've never seen anyone on here that makes six figures (which isn't rich btw in many places) looking down on those who are making less than $20 an hour. It's just that those folks tend to give more honest advice, which is far less sugar coated than others.. But that is the attitude most had to have to get to where they are at today. A good work ethic and a "can-do" attitude, when frankly, there are a lot of people just whining and saying "poor me" on here all the time.

Wait, I thought the "1%" were actual millionaires. Folks in the $100k range don't qualify.
