No. I think my name helped me get my first job in my career though (part of a song of that bosses absolute favourite band).

I have had three bosses in a row with the same name, we now say it's a requirement for the position.

Years ago we had a manager and an assistant manager both named Richard. We called them Big Dick and Little Dick. They didn't know that, though.

At my last job, there were three Lisas, three Bobs, two Saras. In a company of 18 people.

At my current job, there are three Tom Smiths. We are constantly getting all-staff email reminders "Remember People: Tom A. Smith works in NYC, Tom R. Smith is in Seattle, and Tom O. Smith is in LA!!"

Oh, and few years back, I worked with a company where I had an inverse name AND gender with someone and people always got us confused....I was constantly getting calls asking for me to look something up and it would take multiple explanations to get through that YES, we had a male company librarian and a female department head.

Haha. We once had a man named Kelly and a woman named Aaron. Both confused people all the time. Not the same as your situation, but people do make assumptions.

The parents of one of my friends had the same name, profession and employer.

As they were married, they both had the same surname. Their first names were Christopher and Christine, which often got shortened, despite their preferences to use the longer versions, to Chris. They were both scientists in the same department at the same university.

Adding to the confusion, some people in their non-professional lives would attempt to differentiate them by calling then Dr. and Mrs., or Dr. and Mr., which of course did not work because they were Dr. and Dr.
