Flip flops are approved, but shower shoes are not.
What the heck is the difference??
I used to wear them a lot as a kid. I grew up in a house on a lake filled with leeches. My family and I would wear these whenever we swam, kayaked, or did anything near the water.
Wow! I worked for a fed. govt. agency which was, surprisingly, extremely liberal and laid-back when it came to attire, even though it was a white-collar office setting. Maybe because it was a HQ complex that wasn't directly involved with dealing with the public. At any rate, I doubt if even they would have allowed flip-flops.

If flip-flops are OK, what about barefoot ?
BTW, what kind of workplace is this ? Swimming pool lifeguard ?
I can't imagine OSHA is OK with this.
Never seen the "shower shoes" before but my office is full of people in flip flops. I would interpret it to mean nicer leather type shoes rather than something like plastic.
