Hi. I'm new here. I had been looking for work but I am facing a dilemma. As temporary administrative assistant, I would like to offer local company my service by replying to their ad(although they are looking for permanent help). By the way, I don't work for temporary agency. There were many suggestion on writing cover letter for temporary jobs but not for what I had in mind. Any suggestions are helpful. Thanks!!

I'm confused. Do you want to work at this new place as a temporary job even though it is listed as permanent? Or are you looking for a way to write a cover letter to apply for the permanent job since you are temporary now?

I know it is confusing. Yes, As temporary receptionist/office assistant, I can offer my service to local businesses should the need arises. In my research, local business owners would not request help from temporary agencies since they charge $30-40 an hour. So my idea is to answer local ad and send them introduction letter with something like this:

Dear Sir/Madam,
Whether you need a short-term help during a busy period or fill in for absent employees, I am available to offer my temporary service. I believe I can save you money. Here are the benefits of my service:
- there is no fees associated
- (I'll charge $15/hour for one day and $12/hour that last a week or more);
-I'm a 1099 contractor so the company does not need to withhold taxes.
-I am local (most of the temporary worker would be sent from Ft lauderdale and Miami area)
-I have a favorable background check

(To summarize ) my past experiences include:
Prepared financial reports
Reconciled bank statements
Facilitated streamlining of filing system for easy access
Maintained confidential information following HIPAA regulations
Handled payment collections

As outlined in my attached resume, I completed Training Futures. The program helped me refine my computer, customer service and other administrative skills. It prepared me to meet the qualifications and skills that temporary agency such as Aerotek, Office Team and Robert Half, are looking for. As a skilled freelancer/contractor, I am excited to offer my temporary service. While taking the time to find permanent, I can fill in. My qualifications and skills include:
-Interpersonal abilities in diverse group
-Work ethic
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access)
I would very much welcome the opportunity of discussing this matter with you. I am available to meet at your convenience.

If you want to be taken seriously, you will need to improve your grammar and mechanics.
