At that age it's too early to think careers. Still it's good that the OP is thinking ahead. Try to get the child interested in math, as it is the foundation upon which science is based. Inspire, but don't push.
Either tech-related (IT/computers) or healthcare are pretty much guaranteed to be around. Teaching will be also. But I'd honestly teach him to be a hard worker, focused and driven. With those traits he'll find something that makes him happy which would be my bigger focus at this point.
If you read the boom of revelation it is pretty obviosu we will not make it much past 2030.
