Oh yes, it's a fact that an additional degree in art history will help this MD diagnose and treat illness.

Aha. That explains it. I remember that one from awhile back.

In 2017 if you have any common sense you don't give references of former supervisors or client supervisors. It isn't needed or expected. A staffing firm, where most of them don't even speak English very well, are going to ignore any requests about anything unless it is about filling a job requirement or when they do talk with anyone they can't say anything about someone because they don't have any contact with them. A friend of mine has been with assignment from a staffing firm and he's never met anyone in-person from the staffing firm. So not a single person there has anything to say about him, because they never had any dealings with them.
Yes there are bad staffing firms.
Most peoplewith common sense can weed out the bad ones: 1st sign is when you don't meet them in person and they don't speak English - like the fake firms from India.
Stafffing firms aren't in business to find people jobs - there's no fee to candidates...
They make their money by filling job order for their paying clients.

It's a small word... burning bridges is an absolute last resort as you never know who you may work with down the road, who may be able to help you get your foot in the door, be your next boss, know someone who knows someone else...
